Practice Makes Perfect?

It's Tuesday night and that means Tai Chi class in Ballard. I've been studying at Embrace the Moon for about two years (a little longer if you count the classes at work that got me started) and am totally enthralled. It's work. Don't be fooled by the mantra of slow, gentle movement. It's precise. It's deep and it's strong. It's the time I get to center on myself, my body, my being and how it relates to the universe. Well, that's the bigger picture. Sometimes it's just praying for my thighs not to give out, or trying to release whatever issuing my wrist feel wiggy. Sounds like hocus pocus sometimes, but I love it. I always feel better at the end of a practice, aches and all, than I did going into it.
